Bio:

Sarah C. Hallock (nee Currie) was born in Maplewood VA. in 1847 oldest daughter John & Sarah Currie (not of the Curry family of the Carson City Mint fame). She came out west with her family in the late 1850's settling in Virginia City Nevada where her father was a local business man, and saloon owner. In 1869 she met and married a local man, James Hallock. She died of complications of child birth on June 20th 1871 at age 24.

She was laid to rest in the Masonic Section of the Virginia City Cemetery.

The baby boy, James Jr.. survived and moved away to Carson City with his father, who remarried, and is buried there.
