Bio:

Leonhard Letterer was born in the Rheinland Germany in 1824. He came to America in the late 1840's, and by 1860 he had settled in Virginia City Nevada where he worked as a boot & saddle maker.

He never married, and died of old age on Sept. 17, 1895, at age 72, and was buried in the Virginia City Cemetery.  His small grave stone had been knocked over at one time but has since been repaired.
