Bio:

Annie E. Weir (nee Edwards) was born in Galena Illinois in 1854. Her family moved to Nevada in 1860 were they settled in Virginia City NV where her father worked in the mining office of one of the mines.

In 1875 she met and married William K. Weir, a local postal clerk. She died Nov. 30th 1879 due to complications of giving birth to a still-born child on Nov. 29th. at age 25.

She was buried with her infant son. Her mother paid to have the grave stone put on her grave. (See engraving at the bottom of her stone). William, it is said, later remarried, and is now buried in Carson City NV.
